Peer reviewed research and reporting
“Transferring Information from Faculty Development to Classroom Practice: A Mixed-Method Study” focuses on the work and presentation Dr. Skubik-Peplaski and I did over a term while in a Peer Learning Community led by Dr. Winslow. The PLC focused on metacognition, the study of how one thinks, and encouraged us to research and use the research. Being an Instructional Designer, I worked with Skubik-Peplaski and advised different ways to use Effortful Learning strategies in her class, ultimately settling on the “Jigsaw Method.”
